How does the Sun feel the Earth? How does it feel me?
In philosophy, affect is never unidirectional. When a body affects another, there are consequences in both directions – however asymmetric these might be. The scientific models of the Sun I have seen however are extremely unidirectional. They are all about the Sun affecting its surroundings, and nothing about how the Sun is being affected by them. I asked 50 astrophysics. They’re answers are slowly starting to enrich the picture…

A relationship map on a wall
Post-its were starting to crowd the wall of my room… The different trajectories weren’t clear anymore. I started linking the points with colour thread and a few nails! Once I finished, I started substituting post-its with labels.

Animated shadows turn coloured thread
Taking as reference the shadows produced by the shape of the window on the shortest day of the year I started a map on the wall using colour thread. Next step is to take note of the shadows during the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.

Drawing with the longest shades of the year
On the day of the Winter Solstice the Sun casts the longest shadows of the year. I’ve used the shadows casted by a 14cm rod to outline a surface. This is the first stage of a drawing that will take
